Early Intervention
Colorado’s Early Intervention program provides supports and services to children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families from birth until the child’s third birthday. Early Intervention services can help families learn ways to support and promote their child’s development within their everyday routines and activities.

Inclusive Playgroup
Join us for our free, inclusive playgroup designed for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers! Hosted by the Children’s Services Department at Southern Colorado Developmental Disabilities Services (SCDDS), our playgroup is a welcoming space where all children—of all abilities—can explore, play, and grow together.
Each session features developmentally appropriate activities that spark curiosity, encourage social interaction, and support early learning through play. Families have the chance to connect with one another and with early childhood professionals in a relaxed, supportive environment.
No registration required—just come as you are and join the fun!
Resource Library
Our Resource Library is a free lending program for families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals in our community. Housed within the Children’s Services Department at SCDDS, the library offers a wide variety of developmentally appropriate toys, books, adaptive tools, and learning materials designed to support young children of all abilities.
Whether you're looking for sensory play items, communication supports, fine motor tools, or early literacy resources, our collection is here to help you extend learning and play into the home or classroom. Each item includes a simple guide to help families make the most of the materials.

Southern Colorado Developmental Disabilities Services
Southern Colorado Developmental Disabilities Services (SCDDS) is your locally operated Community Centered Board. We are a non-profit organization and provide services and supports to all individuals in Las Animas and Huerfano counties with developmental and intellectual delays or disabilities.
